CreateSA is currently accepting expressions of interest from prospective peer assessors.

By submitting an expression of interest, you declare that you would like to participate in the peer assessment process, drawing upon your arts-relevant knowledge to support the administration of CreateSA grants.

Those who express interest will be placed on an unpublished register of prospective peer assessors.

Background

Peer assessors make funding recommendations for approval by the Minister for Arts (or a delegate) and execution by CreateSA. Peer assessment allows the Government of South Australia to obtain arm’s length grant recommendations.

Peer assessors are co-opted to provide expertise on current and contemporary arts practice in Australia. They include arts practitioners in and across various art forms with current sector knowledge. Expertise may also be sought in producing, marketing and arts management.

CreateSA is committed to co-opting peer assessors that represent the diversity of the South Australian community.

Submission of an expression of interest does not guarantee that you will be co-opted to assess applications submitted to the Arts and Culture Grants Program.

Priority will be given to prospective peer assessors who reside in South Australia.

Remuneration

A sitting fee is paid for all formal meetings and special assignments. An allowance for meeting preparation may also be paid, subject to the number of applications assessed. Public servants are not permitted to receive sitting fees.

How to register

Expressions of interest will be accepted via SmartyGrants.
